Woman Flees DUI Crash, Leaves Baby Behind In Car: Oswego PD
The Oswego woman crashed into a parkway tree half a block from her residence before fleeing the scene, police said.

OSWEGO, IL — An Oswego woman is charged with endangering the life or health of a baby after she fled the scene of a crash Tuesday night, leaving the child behind, according to police.
Jessica James, 40, crashed into a parkway tree half a block away from her residence on Ash Grove Lane before fleeing, leaving her 8-year-old daughter in the car. She had been driving under the influence, police said.
Witnesses saw James leave the scene, and she was located before entering her residence, officials said.

James was subsequently arrested, charged also with aggravated driving under the influence while transporting a person under 16, and taken to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office.
The car was towed from the scene, and no one required hospitalization, police said.
