Annual one-five Foundation Raffle Supports School District 15 Students

Raffle tickets for the 2023 one-five Foundation 50/50 Raffle are now available at www.one-five.org.

The one-five Foundation is the official foundation of Community Consolidated School District 15 (CCSD15) which offers a 50/50 raffle that is drawn on March 17 each year. Ticket purchases help fund Teacher Mini-Grants and other Foundation initiatives that support the students and staff at all 20 CCSD15 schools.

Each $100 ticket purchased will earn one entry into the raffle. Only 600 tickets will be available for purchase. The winner will take home half of the money raised, for a total of up to $30,000. Past winners include Kelly M. who won $16,750 in 2019, Robert H. who won $13,350 in 2020, Fred F. who won $23,600 in 2021, and Owen W. who won $19,350 in 2022.

Half of the money raised through the raffle (up to $30,000) will be retained by the one-five Foundation to support its 2023 fundraising efforts. All proceeds benefit one-five Foundation projects which support the entire District 15 community. The other half of the money raised (up to $30,000) will be issued to the raffle winner.

The raffle drawing will take place live at 12 pm on March 17, 2023, at Community Consolidated School District 15, 580 N. 1st Bank Drive, Palatine, Illinois 60067. The drawing will be broadcast via Facebook Live, and a link to the live drawing will be provided on District 15’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/CCSD15). The winner’s name will also be published on District 15’s Facebook page.

Prize money will be issued to the winner in cash via check(s), and will be subject to applicable federal and state tax obligations and limitations. The one-five Foundation is an autonomous 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization whose mission is to acquire resources to be used for programs and projects to enhance and supplement the educational experience of Community Consolidated School District 15’s students. It was founded in 1989 under the name, District 15 Educational Foundation, by a partnership of parents, community members, and local businesses, and it is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees from the District 15 community.
