Autistic Palatine Boy Found in Car After Reported Missing Wednesday
The 14-year-old boy walked away from the Little City group home but was found safe Thursday morning.

David Quattrochi was found in a car in the 3400 block of Wilshire Drive in Hoffman Estates less than a mile away from the Little City group home where he had been staying in the 1700 block of West Algonquin Road in unincorporated Palatine, according to the Daily Herald.
He was located at about 7:30 a.m. and was responsive, according to a Cook County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post. He was taken to a local hospital for an evaluation.
It’s unclear how long Quattrochi had been in the car, which was parked in a residential driveway, according to the Daily Herald.
The teen, who is autistic and nonverbal, was reported missing at 3 p.m. Wednesday and was not wearing a coat at the time.
