Bank of America Supports Local Nonprofit JOURNEYS | The Road Home

JOURNEYS | The Road Home receives $10,000 grant

The Bank of America Charitable Foundation recently presented JOURNEYS | The Road Home (also known as Pads to Hope) with a $10,000 grant to help support the organization’s comprehensive services for the homeless. The organization’s mission is to individually assess and serve the homeless and near homeless, while broadening community awareness and involvement with the homeless population.

Many individuals and families still struggle to access basic necessities and face difficult financial decisions, such as choosing between putting food on the table and paying for health care. That’s why Bank of America partners with nonprofits that are providing basic human services, such as JOURNEYS | The Road Home, in order to reach individuals at their immediate point of need and connect them to the programs and services to set them on a path to economic stability.

This grant is part of the Bank’s broader philanthropic investment to help individuals and families in Chicago lead stronger financial lives. For individuals and families already struggling to access the basics, financial management is even more important. Due to this, the Bank focuses on supporting integrated services that will address immediate needs while also offering individuals opportunities to improve longer term personal finance and better money habits.
