Dandy Lion

These little fluff balls are a very common sight this time of year.

They seem to be everywhere.

Dandelions are considered "weeds" , this much is true.

But I find it fascinating that after the yellow flower opens and closes for days and days, suddenly this perfect little sphere of puffy seedlings appear.

Each one a potential new dandelion plant next spring for us to dig out and toss into one of our yard waste bags.

Maybe if we take a moment to think about just how perfect Mother Nature is in her creations,

Digging out that next dandelion weed won't seem so bad.
