D15 To Add More 'Secure Vestibules' At Schools
The upgrades at D15 schools mean visitors must first pass through the main office before gaining access to the rest of the school.

PALATINE, IL — District 15 plans to install "secure vestibules" at six more of its buildings next summer. Construction of the secure vestibules started with updates to five schools this past summer. The vestibules include modifications of the front entrance of a school to ensure visitors pass through the main office before getting into the rest of the school building, according to Community Consolidated School District 15.
The buildings to get the secure vestibules next summer include: Lincoln, Central Road, Frank C. Whiteley, Walter R. Sundling, Stuart R. Paddock and Marion Jordan.
The remaining eight District 15 schools already had secure vestibules in place.
