Defendants in David Bogenberger Hazing Case Plead Not Guilty
Four of five defendants in the case relating to the hazing death of David Bogenberger, formerly of Palatine, have pleaded not guilty in the case, the Daily Chronicle reports.

Four of five defendants facing felony and misdemeanor hazing charges relating to the death of Palatine native David Bogenberger pleaded not guilty earlier this week, the Daily Chronicle reports.
A fifth defendant was not in court Tuesday due to the judge having a conflict of interest in his case. The penalties if any of the defendants are found guilty could range from probation to three years in prison, the paper reported.
Bogenberger, a Palatine High School 2012 graduate, died on November 2 after what was determined to be a hazing incident at Northern Illinois University where he attended college.
An autopsy determined he had five times the legal limit of alcohol for driving in his system, and an arrhythmia due to an enlarged heart was determined to be the cause of death.
Bogenberger is survived by his parents, formerly of Palatine and who now live in Florida, along with his older brother, his triplet sister and brother and younger sister.
A lawsuit was filed in February by the family against the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.
