"Enchanted April" is a glowing success at Wheaton Drama

Wheaton Drama's "Enchanted April" debuted to fits of laughter and appreciative applause from audiences in its opening weekend.

“Enchanted April”, written by Matthew Barber from the novel by Elizabeth Von Arnim, continues its run at Wheaton Drama, playing again this Thursday. Patrons offered reviews after enjoying the show, describing “Enchanted April” as “fantastic” and “being swept away to Italy for the night”. Full of playful quips and delightful interactions, “Enchanted April” has something to offer for every taste.

Set in the 1920s in a secluded Italian village, the show follows four women who become unlikely travel companions on an impromptu holiday. In pursuit of rediscovering hope and love, the women find rejuvenation amidst tranquil beauty.

Led by veteran director Marge Uhlarik-Boller assisted by Kate Quan, the cast includes Dave Amato, Anna Amodio, Julie Rogers-Baker, Lisa Schmela, Steve Schroeder, JoAnn Smith, Lars Timpa, and Leah Rae Witt. The entire creative team and cast should be commended for strong performances and their collective ability to bring the villa to life. Join them as they go, in the words of the show, “À l’Italia!”. To Italy!
