The community is invited to a Self-Care Symposium to learn more about over-the-counter medications and their effect on one’s health. The fair will be led by Roosevelt University’s College of Pharmacy, which recently partnered with Harper College to offer qualified students direct admission to the Doctor of Pharmacy program.
The free event will take place from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Avanté Center on Harper’s main campus, 1200 W. Algonquin Road in Palatine.
Attendees can learn about self-care and over-the-counter patient education topics including children’s fevers, teen cough syrup addiction, how over-the-counter medication may impair driving, their effect on heartburn and much more.
