John Kasich to Hold Town Hall in Palatine Today

PALATINE, IL - Republican presidential candidate John Kasich will be speaking Wednesday afternoon at the Palatine Park District Community Center Gymnasium, 250 E. Wood St., in Palatine.

Doors open for the town hall event at 12:30 p.m. and the program begins at 1:30 p.m. Those interested in attending Wednesday's event are encouraged to RSVP online here.

Kasich will also be speaking this morning in Lisle. He will appear for a town hall event at Navistar Atrium, 2701 Navistar Drive in Lisle. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for the event and the program begins at 10:30 a.m. Those attending that event can RSVP online here.

The speaking events come after Kasich finished in third place in the Republican presidential primary in Michigan Tuesday with 24.29 percent of the vote. Donald Trump won the state with 36.51 percent of the vote and Cruz was not far ahead of Kasich with 24.92 percent of the vote.

Kasich held two rallies in Michigan Monday and planned a third one at a Lansing brewery for Tuesday, hoping to build momentum in neighboring Michigan before heading home to his home state of Ohio, where polls show Kasich and Trump are neck-and-neck.

The presidential primary election in Illinois will be held on March 15.
