Man Faces Charges After He Barricades Himself in Apartment With Gun: Police

Charges are expected for a 31-year-old man accused of barricading himself inside an apartment in the 1300 block of North Geneva Drive on Tuesday, forcing police to negotiate with him for more than three hours before he eventually surrendered himself to officers and was taken into custody, the Daily Herald reports.

A woman called police around 10:30 a.m. to report she had escaped the residence after being beaten by her boyfriend. The boyfriend and the man who barricaded himself inside the apartment were both armed with guns, according to the article.
