No injuries are being reported following a crash Friday afternoon involving a Metra train that had just left the Palatine station and a vehicle, the Daily Herald reports. A Metra spokesperson told the Daily Herald the train “would not have been going very quickly at all“ and that the vehicle was barely on the tracks at the time of the collision.
Train #644, which had been scheduled to arrive at Ogilve at 1:33 p.m., is now operating 42 to 47 minutes behind schedule, according to an update posted at 1:20 p.m. on the Metra website.
