The Metropolis Performing Arts Centre in Arlington Heights is looking ahead to a strong Holiday season following robust ticket sales from their recent hit production of Monty Python’s Spamalot!

Metropolis Executive Director Joe Keefe said that the final two weekends of Spamalot! were sold out and the show’s ticket sales were among the strongest the Arlington Heights theater has seen in years. “We are very proud of our Spamalot! and will use it as a benchmark for future productions,” said Keefe.

In addition to the overwhelmingly positive response to the famed Monty Python musical, Metropolis is also enjoying strong ticket sales for their Artists Lounge Live series presented by Michael Ingersoll. “The Artists Lounge Live series has experienced near-capacity audiences and we are well ahead of pace for spring ticket sales.”

“With The 39 Steps, Rent and Folsom coming up in our 2015-2016 season, we continue to strive to exceed the expectations of our burgeoning audience,” said Keefe. “I’ll put our season up against any in the Chicago area.”

Before the spring/summer productions take the stage at the 341 seat theater, a full season of holiday program is ready to glow. “We open A Christmas Carol on November 28th and will also have an extended run of The Second City’s Holidazed beginning December 11th,” noted Keefe. Other holiday shows include A Carpenter’s Christmas, a tribute to the legendary 70’s pop duo the Carpenters, and a special performance by The Lakeside Singers on December 7th.
