Painter Accused Of Burglarizing Customer's Palatine Home: Cops
Samuel Waue, 30, broke in to the residence while Deanna Klutch acted as driver and lookout, Palatine police allege.

PALATINE, IL — A painter, along with his getaway driver, is accused of burglarizing the home of one of his customers last month, according to Palatine police. Samuel Waue, 30, and Deanne Klutch, 33, both of the 3100 block of Swallow Lane, Rolling Meadows, were charged with felony residential burglary stemming from the April 18 incident. Waue was held on $125,000 bail, while Klutch was released on $60,000 bail and must be electronically monitored.

According to police, a residential burglary was reported April 18 in the 700 block of West Roanoke Court. The victim claimed burglars broke in through a basement window and ransacked the home. Electronics, jewelry and other items were stolen from the residence, the victim told police.

Waue was identified as a suspect after detectives discovered the painter had been hired by the victim in the past. Search warrants executed at Waue's house and on his vehicle uncovered unspecified items that had been reported stolen in the April 18 burglary, police said. Stolen property also was recovered during a check of local pawn shops.
During their investigation, detectives allege Waue broke in to West Roanoke Court home while Klutch acted as the driver and lookout during the burglary. She also allegedly helped Waue carry the stolen items to the vehicle, police said.

Officers arrested the two Tuesday, May 2, at the Rolling Meadows home they share.
