Lutheran High School Northwest was founded in 1978 as the fourth Lutheran High School in the Detroit Metropolitan area. The school began operating from its new facility in Rochester Hills, Michigan in the fall of 1987. An extensive addition to this building was completed in 1990 and 1998. Northwest offers its students a well-rounded program of academics, fine arts and extra-curricular activities. The school is accredited through the North Central Accreditation Board and the Lutheran High School Accreditation Board. In 1996, it was presented with the Christus Award, an award that recognizes outstanding Lutheran High Schools throughout the United States. This year’s theme for our school year is ”Equipped for Excellence” Hebrews 13:20-21.

We celebrate our 37th year equipping young men and women for a life of Christian service through a curriculum of academic excellence, encouraged through a caring Christ-centered environment where God’s Word is shared daily.
