Palatine High School's 27th Trick-or-Treat with Pirate Pete Event
The event will be hosted at Palatine High School, 1111 N. Rohlwing Rd. in Palatine from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26.
Palatine High School's annual Trick-or-Treat with Pirate Pete Festival returns for its 27th year.
The festival will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26, at Palatine High School, 1111 N. Rohlwing Road. This event is open to children 10-years-old or younger, who must be accompanied by an adult.
This event is organized to celebrate the fall season and Halloween. There is no admission fee for attendees. Costumes are encouraged. Palatine High School will have different decorations and themed rooms for guests all organized by various clubs, organizations, programs, and sports teams at PHS. Rooms will be labeled as “scary” or “not scary” so families know if rooms are age-appropriate.

Each room will host a variety of games, activities, and displays. The cafeteria will host a Pirate Ship bounce house and other interactive games. Candy and treats will be handed out for all attendees.
Social Studies teacher, Shannon McCloskey, is excited to bring her infant daughter to the Trick-or-Treat Festival for the first time this year. She said, “I’ve been a sponsor of teams and clubs at the festival in year’s past. I’m really excited to bring my own child to this year’s festival.”
Palatine High School principal, Mr. Medina highlighted the connection this event creates between the school and community. He said, “It’s our largest event that we host. It is a great way we can connect our school to the community of Palatine.”
