Palatine Jaycees' Hometown Fest Celebrating 61 Years

Highlights and event details for the upcoming Palatine Jaycees' Hometown Fest, kicking off June 29 in Community Park.

PALATINE, IL — The Fourth of July is right around the corner and thanks to the Palatine Jaycees' 61st Annual Hometown Fest, you'll have six days of celebrations. Palatine's Fourth of July Celebration runs Friday, June 29 through Wednesday, July 4 at Community Park, 262 E. Palatine Rd. The festival includes fireworks, a carnival, food vendors, parade, business expo., craft fair, Family Day and more family entertainment.

Carnival rides and games will be open each day of the festival and daily wristbands can be bought onsite for $25 per day, organizers say.

  • June 30 and July 1: The Arts & Crafts, Business & Charity Expo
  • June 30 - Parade, 11 a.m.: The annual parade includes professional entertainment, entries from local organizations, businesses, government officials, local law enforcement and more.
  • July 1 - Hometown Toss, 2:30 p.m.: Teams of two will compete in a baggo tournament for cash prizes and bragging rights. Register onsite from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Games begin at 2:30pm. Cost is $20 per team.
  • July 3 - Fireworks at dusk: Professional fireworks and patriotic music brought to you by the Palatine Jaycees.
  • July 4 - Family Day, 1 p.m.: An afternoon of free family activities, including bounce houses, an art table. a balloon artist, face painting, water balloon toss, temporary tattoos and more.

Organized and ran by the Palatine Jaycees, proceeds from Hometown Fest benefit Palatine by funding community projects, community grants, high school scholarships, and much more.
