Palatine Library Celebrates National Women's Month in March

Women's Programs: March 1 - Savvy Women Invest; March 7 - Susan B. Anthony: You Can't Vote; and March 24 - America's Greatest First Ladies.

In honor of National Women’s Month, Palatine Public Library District offers several enlightening programs about women:

On Tuesday, March 1, from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., financial advisor Karre Parker of Arbor Financial Services educates and empowers women in the program Savvy Women Invest on Purpose. Parker encourages women to apply their feminine strength when managing their finances, and to take charge of their own lives, making decisions for themselves.

On Monday, March 7, from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Lynn Rymarz, children’s author and storyteller, portrays the fight for voting rights for women in the program Susan B. Anthony: You Can’t Vote! Learn how her dedication and determination made a difference in helping to change history for women.

Historian and professional writer Barry Bradford visits on Thursday, March 24, from 7:00 – 8:15 p.m. Bradford presents a list of the top ten favorite First Ladies in the program: America’s Greatest First Ladies, through many fascinating stories in a multimedia presentation.
