Palatine Man Admits To Stealing Hundreds From Pizzeria's Cash Register After Ordering Pizza
Jonathan Cabrera, 25, pleaded guilty to theft Thursday as part of an agreement with prosecutors.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — A Palatine man accused of ordering a takeout pizza at an Arlington Heights pizzeria and then taking out — and off with — hundreds of dollars from the restaurant's cash register pleaded guilty theft Thursday, the Daily Herald reports.
As part of his deal with prosecutors, Jonathan Cabrera, 25, received a one-year prison sentence, the report stated. Cabrera could have been sentenced between two and five years if he had been convicted and not struck a plea agreement.
According to police, Cabrera walked into Mug's Pizza, 807 W. Rand Road, to pick up an order at around 2:25 a.m. Dec. 29. Instead, the man swiped more than $500 from the business' cash register.
