Palatine Man Given Probation in Teen Sexual Abuse Case

A judge sentenced a Palatine man to probation earlier this week after the 28-year-old confessed to sexually abusing a teenage girl he met online last year, the Daily Herald reports.

Adan Flores-Cano pleaded guilty Tuesday, May 10, to an aggravated criminal sexual abuse charge. He was given two years probation and is required to register as a sex offender.

Flores-Cano was accused of contacting a 15-year-old girl through a social media site in 2015, then luring her later that year to his apartment, where the sexual activity occurred, the report stated. He was arrested in January 2016.
