Palatine Police Issue Citations, Make Arrests During July 4th Enforcement
Police issued 32 seat belt violations, 21 speeding tickets and arrested 3 for DUI.
Palatine Police issued several citations and made arrests during increased enforcement over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
Through the holiday, Palatine Police held saturation patrols which emphasized the hours of midnight to 3 a.m. During that time period, police handed out the following citations and made the following arrests:
- DUI: 3 arrests
- Seatbelt violations: 32 tickets
- Possession of a controlled substance: 3 arrests
- Suspended driver’s license: 2 arrests
- Uninsured motorists: 7 tickets
- Speeding: 21 tickets
- All Other registration/moving/equipment violations: 26 tickets
