Palatine State of the Village Rescheduled Due to Weather

Palatine Mayor Jim Schwantz and Staff will present the Village's accomplishments in 2018 and goals for the new year, on February 27, 2019.

The State of the Village Address was previously scheduled for Wednesday, January 30, 2019 but it was canceled due to extreme temperatures in the forecast on that date.

Palatine residents, business and other interested individuals are invited to attend the upcoming State of the Village Address, hosted by the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce on February 27, 2019 at Palatine Village Hall.

Palatine Mayor Jim Schwantz and Village staff will make the presentation and provide key community updates, in addition to a summary of the Village's goals for 2019.

“As an organization, we look forward to learning more about the Village’s accomplishments over the last year, and goals for 2019,” said PACC President Shawn Jackson. “We thank the Village of Palatine for providing this important opportunity to educate, inform and connect with our residents and businesses.”

Jackson added that the PACC continues to do its part to contribute to the vitality of Palatine’s business community through sponsoring yearly events and developing initiatives that support and promote local businesses. Among them are the Think Local Campaign, Explore Palatine event, and the Business Expo and Community Showcase, in addition to other events held throughout the year.

The State of the Village Address will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 in Village Council Chambers at Palatine Village Hall, 200 E. Wood Street in Palatine, from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with time for questions from those in attendance.
