Palatine Assistant Village Manager Sam Trakas said Anthem turned in its liquor license Tuesday, July 19.
On Wednesday one side of Anthem's marquee sign at the corner of Euclid Avenue and Quentin Road stated the business had closed, the other side offered a thank you to the community.

The sports bar portion of the business featured more than 30 TVs, including two 103 inch high definition projection TVs. Anthem also featured a large dining area that included outdoor seating.
Palatine Patch was unable to reach Anthem's owners. The sports bar and restaurant's web site still is active.
