Planet Fitness to Hold Grand Opening in Palatine

PALATINE, IL (February 3, 2020) – Planet Fitness, one of the largest and fastest-growing global franchisors and operators of fitness centers with more members than any other fitness brand, announced the grand opening of its first Palatine Planet Fitness and celebratory grand opening event with Mayor Jim Schwantz, local officials and the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4 at 223 E Northwest Highway.

As an official partner of the Chicago Bulls, Planet Fitness will be providing attendees the opportunity to meet Toni Kukoc, a former Chicago Bulls all-star player who also serves as the special advisor to the team president and COO. Fans will be able to interact with Kukoc, take photos with the Chicago Bulls championship trophies and also enjoy complimentary food, giveaways and prizes from the prize wheel, including a VIP package for a Chicago Bulls game, additional 100 level Bulls game tickets, a Bulls autographed basketball, and so much more. A ribbon cutting is slated to begin at 5 p.m., with Kukoc attending between 4:30-5:30. The trophies will be on hand between 5:30-7.

Additionally, Planet Fitness will be donating $2,500 to Faith Community Homes, with a check presentation during the grand opening event. This organization was designed to help support northwest suburban families by helping them to achieve financial stability and independence through mentoring, rental assistance and support services.

The new 18,864 sq. foot location offers state of the art cardio machines and strength equipment, PF360, 30-Minute Express Circuit, fully equipped locker rooms with day lockers and showers, numerous flat screen televisions, HydroMassage beds, massage chairs, tanning beds, a Total Body Enhancement booth, and more. The facility is open and staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
