Salata 'Salutes' Chicagoland Dog Rescue Throughout November
Local restaurant teams up with non-profit organization in Schaumburg

SCHAUMBURG, IL (NOVEMBER 2017) – Salata, the "Next Generation Salad Bar," is pleased to salute Chicagoland Dog Rescue (CDR) throughout the month of November. On Friday, November 3rd, CDR representatives will be on-site at Salata’s Schaumburg, Copley Center location (140 East Golf Road) for its November “Salata Salutes” kick-off day, and welcomes the community to come back all month long to support CDR’s mission to rescue and rehome dogs.
“In celebration of the 3rd anniversary of our Schaumburg location, we’re pleased to continue this program to give back to nonprofit organizations within our community,” says Dan Campbell, owner of Chicago market Salata locations. “With the cold weather upon us, we recognize that many dogs will be homeless to fend for themselves during these winter months. This is a concern to many members in our community, and we believe that this program can help assist with the donations they need to find loving homes to the dogs that need it most.”
"Chicagoland Dog Rescue is so honored and humbled that Salata has elected to support our mission of rescuing as many dogs as possible during the month of November. So many of our team members eat at Salata every week,” said Phil Brakefield, CDR Board Member. “Chicagoland Dog Rescue is proudly 100% volunteer-run. With very limited resources, CDR volunteers shelter, transport, socialize, handle and train the rescued dogs. As a shelter-less, no-kill rescue, most of our dogs are in foster homes around the Chicagoland area, so we are grateful for the community’s generous support.”

“Salata Salutes” is a new fundraising initiative that gives back to local non-profit organizations each month. Throughout the month of November, whenever anyone “salutes” Chicagoland Dog Rescue at checkout, 15% of their bill will go into the rescue’s fund. At the end of the month, a check will be presented to Chicagoland Dog Rescue in efforts to help rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs.
