St. Theresa School Walks for the Preservation of Human Dignity (PHD)

For over 20 years, St. Theresa School has participated in the PHD walk as one of their many school Community Service Projects.

St. Theresa School (STS) students again participated in a walk for PHD, the Society for the Preservation of Human Dignity. PHD is a counseling center for pregnancy help and education. Services offered at PHD include professional counseling, case management, support groups, and educational classes. As a PHD client utilizes PHD’s services, she earns a visit to the Maternity and Baby Closet through a voucher system. Women can receive formula, food, diapers, clothes, and other supplies. PHD’s baby closet is utilized by over 100 clients each month. St. Theresa School’s walk consistently has helped stock the shelves with baby items for several months.

For over 20 years, St. Theresa School has participated in the PHD walk as one of their many school Community Service Projects. Students in preschool through 8th grade purchase baby items for the PHD Baby Closet. On Tuesday, November 24, 2015 the items were brought to St. Theresa Church by the students where they participated in a Thanksgiving Prayer Service. After the service, the students walked from the church to Ost Track. The PHD volunteers collected the donations and transported them back to the counseling center. The STS 8th graders then assisted the PHD staff in sorting the donations.
