Tornado Watch Issued for Cook County

A tornado watch has been issued through 10 p.m. Tuesday for several counties throughout the Chicago suburbs, including Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake and McHenry counties, according to the National Weather Service.

A line of strong storms are moving from Iowa into Illinois, according to the Chicago Weather Center.

A tornado was confirmed near Livingston County. The tornado was spotted near Chenao or Pontiac at 5:05 p.m., according to NBC Chicago.

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 7:15 p.m. for LaSalle, northwestern Livingston, southwestern Kendall, and northwestern Grundy counties.
