More Trick-Or-Treat Hours Rescheduled, Events Moved Indoors

NORTHWEST SUBURBS, IL — It will soon be time to take your little ghosts, ghouls and monsters out to trick-or-treat for candy throughout neighborhoods in the area. We've included a roundup of trick-or-treat events and hours for towns throughout the area below:

Thursday, Oct. 31

• Woodstock: 4 to 7 p.m. for neighborhood trick-or-treating. Halloween festivities on the square will start at 4 p.m. with trick or treating. The Halloween costume contest will get underway at 4:45 p.m. More via the city's website
• Crystal Lake: Downtown businesses will hand out candy from 3 to 5 p.m. Neighborhood trick or treating is from 3 to 7 p.m.

• Cary: Neighborhood trick or treating will be from 3 to 7 p.m.
• Algonquin: From 3 to 7 p.m. for neighborhood trick-or-treating.
  • Snow Will Not Deter Trick-or-Treating in Algonquin, LITH
    
• UPDATE/Lake in the Hills: Neighborhood trick or treating is from 2 to 8 p.m. The village has decided to move its trick-or-treat throughout Safety Town — a miniature town located behind the Safety Education Center — indoors, according to a Facebook post. The event will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. inside the Irv Floress Safety Education Center, 1109 Crystal Lake Road.
• Huntley: Trick or treat around the square from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Neighborhood trick or treating is from 4 to 8 p.m.
• Barrington:A trunk or treat for the whole community will be held in the St. Michael's parking lot, 647 Dundee Avenue, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
• Barrington: 3 to 7 p.m. for neighborhood trick or treating
• Lake Zurich: 3 to 8 p.m. for neighborhood trick or treating.
• Carpentersville: 3 to 7 p.m. for neighborhood trick or treating
• Lake Barrington: 3 to 7 p.m. for neighborhood trick or treating
• Hoffman Estates: 3 to 7 p.m. for neighborhood trick or treating
• Schaumburg: 3 to 7 p.m. for neighborhood trick or treating
• Schaumburg: Trick or treating at Spring Valley Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road, from 3 to 5:30 p.m.
• Buffalo Grove: 3 to 8 p.m. for neighborhood trick or treating. From 3 to 5 p.m. is meant younger children to enjoy neighborhood trick or treating.
• Wheeling: 3 to 7 p.m. for neighborhood trick or treating.
• Arlington Heights: 3 to 7 p.m. for neighborhood trick or treating. Downtown trick or treat will run from 3 to 6 p.m.
• Palatine: 3 to 7 p.m. for neighborhood trick or treating.

• Hawthorn Woods: 4 to 8 p.m. for neighborhood trick or treating.
• Park Ridge: 3 to 8 p.m. for neighborhood trick or treating.

• Rolling Meadows: 3 to 8 p.m. for neighborhood trick or treating.
• Mount Prospect: 3 to 8 p.m. for neighborhood trick or treating.
• Mundelein: 4 to 8 p.m. for neighborhood trick or treating.
• Libertyville: 4 to 8 p.m. for neighborhood trick or treating.
• Grayslake: 4 to 7 p.m. for neighborhood trick or treating.

• RESCHEDULED/Johnsburg: Trick or treating will run from 3 to 7 p.m. in the village of Johnsburg.
• RESCHEDULED/Marengo: 3 to 7 p.m.
• RESCHEDULED/Oakwood Hills: 12 to 4 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 3

• RESCHEDULED/Lakemoor: Noon to 4 p.m.
