Million-Dollar Powerball Lottery Ticket Sold at Woodfield Mall (UPDATE)

Another $1 million ticket was sold in Glenview.

Two $1 million winning Powerball tickets were purchased at locations in the Chicago suburbs, Illinois Lottery officials said late Thursday morning.

The winning tickets were sold at a Citgo Food Mart at 915 Greenwood Road in Glenview and at the Newstand at the Woodfield Mall, 5 Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, according to a press release from the Illinois Lottery. The $1 million winning tickets matched the first five numbers in the Powerball drawing: 04 - 08 - 19 - 27 - 34 - (10).

In addition to the two $1 million winners, six $100,000 winning tickets and 37 $50,000 winning tickets were sold in Illinois. More than 893,000 prizes ranging from $4 to $100,000 were won in Illinois during last night’s $1.5 billion Powerball drawing, which was the largest, single prize lottery jackpot in world history, according to the Illinois Lottery.

A winning ticket was sold in Chino Hills, California, according to California lottery officials. California is the only state that doesn’t tax lottery winnings. As of early Thursday morning, winning tickets were confirmed in Tennessee and Melbourne Beach, Florida, according to Powerball officials.
