Two Hospitalized Following Gang-Related Shooting in Palatine: Police
The suspect approached a teen and 35-year-old man on foot and started shooting.

Officers were called to the apartments, in the 1900 block of Green Lane, at 7:30 p.m. for reports of gunshots. When they arrived, they found two with gunshot wounds. The 17-year-old boy and 35-year-old man were taken to Lutheran General Hospital and both remained in the hospital as of Friday, according to a Palatine Police Department press release.
The offender approached the victims on foot and started shooting at them with a handgun, police said. Physical evidence and witness statements lead police to believe the shooting is gang-related and not a random act.
The shooting remains under investigation. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed or believes to have information related to the shooting to call 847-359-9000 or Palatine-Inverness Crime Stoppers 847-590-STOP (7867).
