U.S. Department of Education Names St. Theresa School 2015 National Blue Ribbon School
U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan announces St. Theresa School has been named a National Blue School School of Excellence.

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan announced today that St. Theresa School has been named a U.S. Department of Education National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence for the second time in its history.
The Blue Ribbon award signifies that St. Theresa School is in the top 15% of all schools in the State as determined by standardized test scores. The Blue Ribbon award also signifies a high level of excellence of the school’s academic program and in the teachers who deliver the program.

“This honor recognizes your students’ accomplishments and the hard work and dedication that went into their success,” Duncan said in a video message to the awardees. “Your journey has taught you collaboration, intentional instruction, and strong relationships in school and with your community. You represent excellence-in vision, in implementation, and in results-and we want to learn as much as we can from you.”
St. Theresa School earned this prestigious award in 2006 and now again in 2015. The St. Theresa School program is a model of consistent excellence in education, preparing its students to be strong and informed Catholics ready to take on the challenges of college and career.

This award comes at an exciting time for St. Theresa parish and school as they anticipate breaking ground to update the campus next spring.
The U.S. Department of Education will honor the achieving public and private schools at a recognition ceremony on November 9-10 in Washington, D.C.
