Vehicle Found, But No One Charged Yet In Shooting Outside Palatine Wal-Mart
The 19-year-old victim found by police in the store's parking lot Tuesday night is in critical condition.

PALATINE, IL — Police have recovered a vehicle Wednesday investigators believe was used in a shooting that wounded a 19-year-old man in the face and had officers responding to reports of gunfire Tuesday at Wal-Mart on Rand Road.
No one yet has been charged in the shooting, but investigators continue to interview potential suspects, according to Palatine police. The victim remains in critical condition at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
At about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, police responded to a 911 call of gunfire at Wal-Mart, 1555 N. Rand Road. When officers reached the scene, they found the victim bleeding but conscious in the parking lot after being shot in the face by a handgun, police said.

Witnesses told police that the shooting suspects were in the store, but officers searched Wal-Mart and determined the offenders were no longer at the scene.
