17 y.o. Boy Killed, 4 Injured in Palos Park Crash

A 17-year-old Chicago boy is dead and his passenger in intensive care following a four-car crash in Palos Park Friday night.
Christian Luna, of the 2400 block of South California Avenue in Chicago, died at the scene, Palos Park police said. Four others were hospitalized, two reported as in serious condition Saturday. Victims were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and Palos Community Hospital in Palos Heights.

Luna was driving northbound in the 12500 block of La Grange Road when he attempted a u-turn and was struck by another vehicle. A portion of the road was closed for several hours as police processed the scene.
Luna’s passenger remains in intensive care, according to police.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, but police said they found no initial signs of impairment.
