3 Juveniles In Custody After They Beat Up Boy For His Shoes: Cops
Police said the boy hit his head on some rocks after the youths beat him up and stole his shoes outside the Palos Hills community center.
PALOS HILLS, IL -- Three male juveniles were charged with felony robbery after they beat another boy and stole his shoes, police said. The juveniles were turned over to the Cook County Juvenile State’s Attorney.
Police responded to a call of a battery in progress around 5 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Palos Hills Community Resource and Recreation Department, 8455 W. 103rd St. According to police, the three youths were pummeling a Palos Hills boy about the head and body. The youths took boy’s shoes and took off.
Two of the youths were spotted running through a residential area. They were apprehended right away. One of them had the boy’s shoes, police said. After a brief investigation, police identified the third juvenile. Officers arrested him at his home in Hickory Hills. The other youths reside in Worth and Hickory Hills.

While the youths were beating the Palos Hills boy for his shoes, police said he fell and hit his head on some rocks as he fell to the ground. The boy was taken to the hospital where he was treated for non-threatening injuries.
