3 Palos Hills Homes Hit by Burglars Recently

South Vicky Lane, West 103rd Street and 97th Street homes were broken into this month, according to police.

Palos Hills police are investigating three recent burglary reports.

A burglary was reported on Oct. 16 in the 10600 block of South Vicky Lane. The homeowner called 911 around 3 p.m. and told police he left his house around 8 a.m. Oct. 16, and when he returned home, he found his residence ransacked, the report stated. The report did not include details on what, if anything, was taken from the house.

Police also are investigating two reports of burglaries Oct. 17, one in the 8800 block of 97th Street and another in the 7300 block of West 103rd Street.

The 97th Street homeowner called 911 at about 2 p.m., and told police she left her house around noon and saw the front door had been pried open, the report stated. The resident then noticed her bedroom had been ransacked.

At about 4 p.m., police received a call from the homeowner at West 103rd Street, who said he went to work at around 7:30 a.m., and when he returned, his front door had been broken in. The owner also told police items had been thrown around his home, the report added.

No details were given in the reports about what, if anything, was taken from the homes.
