3 Women Drain Elderly Woman's Bank Account of $630,000, 2 Flee the Country: Police

One woman was located in Joliet, while the other two have apparently bounced to the Philippines.

A Joliet woman faces a felony charge of senior financial exploitation, after she and two others allegedly emptied an elderly Palos Hills woman’s bank account of $631,000, according to police.

Marion Issert, 65, was arrested Jan. 13 and charged with the class 1 felony, after the Cook County Financial Crimes Unit was able to locate two bank accounts into which the money had been dumped over the span of June 3, 2014 to Oct. 20, 2014.

Two of the three women had fled to the Philippines, but Issert was located in Joliet. Police are still looking for the other two involved.
