7th Annual Eagles’ Wings 5K Run/Walk/Roll
Palos Heights, IL – On your marks…get set…GO! to the 7th Annual Elim Eagles’ Wings 5K Run, Walk, & Roll! Join us on the grounds of Elim Christian Services in Palos Heights, Illinois, to lace up your running or walking shoes and stride for the finish line on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 9:00 am. Participants may choose between the timed 5K course and the untimed short loop course (1 mile) on Elim’s campus. Registered runners will receive official times for the 5K.
The Elim Eagles’ Wings 5K Run, Walk, & Roll will benefit the work of the agency for the seventh year in a row this May, supporting essential resources for children and adults with disabilities. Elim hopes to raise over $80,000 through this fun family event to fund iMacs for both the school and adult programs, Mobile Standers for the school program, an Electric Stand Lift for Elim’s adult program, SMARTboards, and more!

All registered participants will receive a free T-shirt and will also enjoy music, refreshments, and raffle drawings. Kids will even have the opportunity to partake in a free pre-race obstacle course. In addition, this year’s 5K event has the theme “The Happiest 5K on Earth!”, and Disney-themed costumes are encouraged and welcome!
Elim’s mission is to equip children and adults with disabilities to achieve their highest God-given potential. Elim pursues this mission by providing educational, vocational, and therapeutic services to over 900 persons with developmental disabilities.
