PALOS PARK, IL—Back-to-school planning has already begun in Palos Consolidated SD 118 for the 2026-2027 academic school year, with calendars available to help parents prepare their children for a smooth transition into the new school year.
The first day of school for grade 1-8 students is Aug. 19, with the first day of preschool and kindergarten starting Aug. 20.
Leading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. We also suggest that you check the full Dist. 118 calendar and your child's school calendar (Palos East, Palos West, Palos South) for conferences, open houses, meetings, exams, late starts, early dismissals, athletic and other school events.
