* On October 9th, the Glenn Maker Poast 1160 AMerican Legion in Chicago Ridge broke ground at 10735 Ridgeland.
*Worth School Board Appointed Edward L. Wilson to the vacancy

* Richard Mertens, owner of the Palos-Orland Cab Company expanded to own another cab company. Their stand was at 123rd and Harlem
*235 childre were confirmed in their fatih at Our Lady of the Ridge on Oct. 19th by Bishop Bernard J .Sheil

* A meeting on the 20th establisehd the Worth Youth Council with the following representiatives : Officers JOhn Driscoll, Bud Zuidema, Steve Chojnacki, Jerome GIlbert and Harry Oracki.
* The Abandoned barn at 114th and Ridgeland was burned, presumably as a Halloween Prank.
