Head to LaGrange for affordable family movies

We're already working on ways to keep our girls busy during winter break. The first few days are easy, but as the two weeks wears on it will be harder to find afforable, fun ways to stay busy.

High on our list is a trip to the LaGrange Theatre. This is our go-to place to see movies for a few reasons. The first is cost. The movies are a very reasonable $5 for kids and $5.50 for adults. The matinee price is $4.50 as long as your movie starts before 6:00 p.m. There are free refills on large popcorn and drinks. Parking is free.

The second reason we go is the staff. The people who work here are so very, very nice. We've been taking our girls there since they were toddlers. We've always found the staff to be accommodating and nice.

The third reason we go there is that the LaGrange Theatre is a clean, modern facility. The theaters are cozy. The seats are comfortable. The bathrooms are clean.

The final reason is we can always see movies people are still talking about. We hardly have the time (or money) to see new movies the first few weeks they come out. We can always catch those movies at the LaGrange Theatre. There are several on the schedule now we wanted to see but haven't yet.

When I tell people we nearly always see a movie at the LaGrange Theatre, they usually say, "I haven't been there in years." Well, now is the time to fix that and head down LaGrange Road to the LaGrange Theatre.
