Ice Cream Parlor Creatively Poses Prom Question

On an early drive the other morning, I notice the most romantic gesture that I have run across in a long time. On the front of the Plush Horse Ice Cream Parlor, the sign reads, in big, black letters: "Sarah, Will you go the prom with me?" A delightful, rush went through my head, How romantic! The historic shop opened in 1937 and is nestled within the south suburbs of Palos.  It is quite widely known for its homemade ice cream. A place where families, folk and couples from all over to just stop and enjoy! I am not overly romantic nor do I claim to be. Yet, how refreshing was this sign to me. It made me reflect of my days of prom too long ago to mention. It created a rush of "feel good" emotions. I do not know Sarah or the young person who bravely decided to ask her.  We hear too little about the quaint, romantics of our youth. "Old school", they call them. Everybody's texting. This was, in its own small way, outstandingly wonderful! I hope she says, yes, to prom! That would be Sweet! Wouldn't you say?
