Marist St. Patricks Day Update!

Marist St. Patricks Day Update!

  • After a heavy snow these past few weeks, could spring be around the corner? With spring sports in full gear, prom plans underway, and Easter Break just weeks away, it certainly feels that way.

  • A true sign of spring was also the South Side Irish Parade. Marist was well represented with the marching RedHawks providing music and the 2012 softball team celebrating its state championship along the parade route.

Here's hoping for a productive spring for all of our Marist students!

  • Marist will participate in Bald for St. Brigid on March 22. We will be shaving heads in the cafeteria to raise money for pediatric oncology research. If you would like to sign up, there are forms in the cafeteria. To shave your head you must give a minimum of $10 donation. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Wouk.

  • Marist basketball closed out the winter season. The girls lost to Marian Catholic by a stunning shot at the buzzer. The boys fell to nationally ranked Simeon. It was a great season for both teams!
  • Poms competed in the IDTA state competition this past weekend at theUniversity of Illinois-Champaign. They took home the 3rd place trophy! Congrats ladies!
  • Spring sports held tryouts in late February and the teams are hard at workalready. Track has already had competitions, and the rest of the teams are set to start up next week. Here's some upcoming events:
