Palos South 6th Grader Places Second in Essay Contest

Lauren Glaza was recently presented with a trophy by former U.S. House Representative William Lipinski, for her second place win in the sixth grade All American Eagles Veterans Day Essay Contest.  

The All-American Eagles promotes the physical, intellectual and spiritual well-being of young people, with an emphasis on patriotism and American history. Every year, ten youngsters are honored for their patriotism and writing skills, with essays and being judged on originality, organization, strength of argument, spelling, and grammar. The contest is open to all elementary school students in grades 4 – 8.
