
formerly of Palos Heights,Ill. passed away peacefully at Miller Manor Nursing Home Friday, April 19, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years,Florence“Cissy” Brown. He is survived by his son William T. (Margo) Brown, daughter Lisa Brown and grandchildren Cory Brown, Ryan Brown, Kevin Brown, Darnell Hicks, Richard (Tina) Heideman and Kellie (Rudy) Chasko and numerous extended great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Maureen Kloucek and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill served in the Navy in WWII and Marine Reserve. He was employed at International Harvester in Chicago, Caesar Cartage, Motor Cargo and retired with C.W. Transport. During his lifetime Bill also was involved in stock car racing and drove at Daytona Beach,Fla.(1955) and Darlington,S.C. He drove at numerous local speedways,Raceway Park, O’Hare and Soldier Field back in the 50’s and will be deeply missed.
The family would also like to give recognition to the staff at Miller Manor Nursing Home and Assisted Living (Portage, In.) for their diligence and kindness that brought a smile to his face.
Visitation is Monday, April 22nd from 2 until 8 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, April 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at the Kerry Funeral Home, Palos Heights.
Interment Saint Casimir Cemetery.
