Palos Heights police reports, Oct. 28–Nov. 2

NOV. 2

DUI, Speeding

Kevin Nguyen, 43, of the 8600 block of Meade Ave, Burbank, was charged with driving under the influence, speeding, improper lane use and driving without proof of insurance after a Nov. 2 traffic stop, according to Palos Heights police reports.

Police noticed Nguyen driving 50 mph in a 35-mph zone at about 11:35 p.m. Nov. 2, in the 12100 block of Harlem Avenue. Nguyen was released on bond, and his court date is Nov. 17.

NOV. 1

DUI

Roman Cardoza, 33, of the 1000 block of Westmore Meyers Road, Lombard, was charged with driving under the influence Nov. 1, after being stopped for going 56 mph in a 35-mph zone, according to Palos Heights police reports. Cardoza was released on $3,000 bond, and his court date is Dec. 3.

DUI

Marvin Jones Jr., 33, of the 4900 block of Fair Oaks Dr Country Club Hills, was charged with driving under the influence, speeding and driving with a suspended license Nov. 1, after a traffic stop, according to Palos Heights police reports. Police noticed Jones driving 66 mph in a 40-mph zone at around 11:05 p.m. Nov. 1, in the 11400 block of South Southwest Highway. According to the report, Jones’s passenger tried to get Jones to pull over but was unsuccessful. Jones was released on $3,000 bond, and his court date is Dec. 3.

OCT. 28

DUI, Running a Red Light

Kamila Kiwacz, 28, of the 10500 block of Ridgeland Avenue, Chicago Ridge, was charged with driving under the influence and disobeying a red light after a traffic stop, according to Palos Heights police reports.

Police stopped Kiwacz after she allegedly ran a red light at around 12: 24 a.m. Oct. 28 at the intersection of 127th Street and Ridgeland Avenue, the report stated. During the stop, an officer noticed Kiwacz exhibiting signs of alcohol intoxication, and she failed field sobriety tests, the report added.

Kiwacz was released on bond, and her court date is Dec. 17.
