Candlelight Vigil Planned Saturday Eve for Missing Man, John Cunningham Jr.
Family and friends will be holding a candlelight vigil for John Cunningham Jr., who has been missing for over a week.

Family, friends, neighbors and supporters of Find John Cunningham will be holding a candlelight vigil at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Our Lady of the Woods, located at 10731 W. 131st St. in Orland Park.
Mike Roupas, his best friend from his south suburban hometown of Palos Park, has organized the vigil.
John, 27, grew up in the south suburbs and graduated from Marist High School. He moved to the Chicago’s Lake View neighborhood on the North Side, but was visiting his parents in Palos Park when he went missing.

John’s father said his son was distraught when he was last seen around 10:45 a.m. Oct. 30 near 123rd Street and McCarthy Road in Palos Park. John was not dressed for the elements.
Since his disappearance, sightings of John have been reported in Worth and most recently, at 147th Street (Nov. 6) and at the BP gas station at 111th Street and Pulaski (Nov. 1), his family says.

A $10,000 reward is being offered for his safe return.
“We are pleading with the public to provide any information as to our son’s wheareabouts,” said his father, John Cunningham, Sr. “The reward shows the extent to which we are seeking to have John, Jr. returned home safe and sound.”
The vigil will be held outdoors near the entrance of Our Lady of the Woods, so dress for the weather.

Cunningham, Jr. is also a resident of the Lakeview neighborhood on Chicago’s North Side.
