Stolen Car
A 2005 Dodge Caravan was reported stolen Aug. 1 from the 11200 block of South Westwood Drive where it was parked in a residential driveway, according to Palos Hills police reports.

Police found the vehicle Aug. 2 in the 7000 block of 111th Street in Worth, the report stated. The owner told police he doesn’t know who might have taken his Caravan.

Possession of a Controlled Substance
Christopher Bottoms, 43, of Manteno, and charged him with possession of a controlled substance after police found him with methamphetamine while picking him up Aug. 1 on unrelated arrest warrants, according to Palos Hills police reports..
Police spotted Bottoms at about midnight in the 10500 block of South Harlem Avenue and stopped him because he had active warrants in Kankakee and Shelby counties, the report stated. When he was placed under arrest, police discovered Bottoms was carrying a clear plastic bag filled with white powder, which later tested positive for methamphetamine, the report added.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 29
Drug Charges
Rocky Abusharif, 29, of Bridgeview, was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug equipment, speeding, disobeying a stop sign, failure to Signal when required and driving without insurance after a July 29 traffic stop, according to Palos HIlls police reports.
Police pulled over Abusharif at about 1 a.m. because he didn’t signal turning from Harlem Avenue to go westbound on 105th Street, the report stated. During the stop, the officer claimed he could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle, the report added.
The officer then reported seeing Abusharif try to hide two blue pills he had taken from inside the car. A field test of the pills determined them to be ecstasy, the report stated. A small amount of a green, leafy substance that tested positive for pot also was found, the report added.
Golf Clubs, Shades Stolen
A set of golf clubs and a pair of Oakley sunglasses were reported stolen July 29 from a locked, parked car in the 10300 block of 86th Court, according to Palos Hills police reports.
TUESDAY, JULY 28
Bobcat Stolen
An orange Bobcat tractor was reported stolen July 28 from the 10100 block of South 82nd Avenue, according to Palos Hills police reports.
Movers Suspected of Stealing from Home
A TV, bookcase and other items were reported stolen July 28 from the 8400 block of 84th Terrace, according to Palos HIlls police reports.
The victim claimed the company she hired to help her move was responsible for taking the items, the report stated.
$200 in Gift Cards, $300 in Cash Stolen during Party
A $200 gift card and $300 in cash were reported stolen July 28 from a birthday party held July 11, according to Palos Hills police reports.
