Craigslist Crook Rips Off Palos Hills Resident

PALOS HILLS, IL -- A resident from the 8700 block of Surrey Park in Palos Hills was deceived by a Craigslist crook, according to reports. Police responded to a call of deceptive practice around 10 a.m. Jan. 8. The resident lost several thousands of dollars worth of eBay gift cards in a car deal gone sour.

Police said the resident tried to buy a car on Craigslist using eBay gift cards. When the car didn’t show up, the resident realized it was a scam.
