Crew Sought In Unlocked Suburban Car Burglaries: Police
Suspects in unlocked suburban car burglaries wear disguises, stay out camera range, and strike during day, says Palos Park police chief.

PALOS PARK, IL — A crew of alleged thieves are being sought by police for a series of car burglaries in suburban Chicago. Police say the suspects, two women and two men, are stealing wallets and purses from unlocked vehicles. Surveillance images from various stores show the suspects shopping with victims' credit cards, according to police.
Chief Joe Miller, of the Palos Park Police Department, said the crew has hit twice in the 8800 block of West 123rd Street and the 12200 block of South Route 45. The suspects have been going on a spending spree with the residents' credit cards. Miller said the crew usually strikes during the day.
"They are experienced in what they do, parking their vehicle outside of camera view, distracting employees and wearing hats and sunglasses in an attempt to hide their identities," the police chief said. "They use the credit cards until the cards are shut off."
