Stagg's Special Olympics Team Honored for Success at State
The school board applauded the basketball team this week, which placed in a downstate high stakes face-off.
Stagg High School's Special Olympics basketball team took their skills downstate recently, where players managed to secure a third-place spot among the competition.
The team was honored for earning the title Thursday at a District 230 School Board meeting.
Its players include: Hala Ali, Brad Beranek, Carlene Mani, Marium Wahid, Paulina Leja, Mustafa Hamed, Mo Hamed, Trevon Pierce, Ezekiel Rivera, Eleazar Rivera, Sarah Gehle, Mo Abuomar, Manager Sean Garcia and Coaches Abby Degliomini, Sharon Chorzempa, and Tom SyskaI.
